Bullet rainfalls of the savannah

The river Benue overflows its Banks, Boldly overstepping its boundaries, Bodies strewn all over the place, Draining the river of it purities, The living waters tainted by dead dreams, The Crystal River stained with red wine,rr4 The future unacheived flows away with the rushing waters; These fateful days begin the same. Old men bending back, children running round. The heaven cloudy and barren. Suddenly It rains, bullet rain, Peace and quiet departing, Chaos replacing and reigning. The land weeps and cries out The pitty-patter of the kids once running, Replaced by the gurgling of throats as their souls are being snatched away, Our brave men lay sleeping in death,è All skill and strength lying useless; Our bones lay stiffened  As a result of incessant quivering Our eyes blood red Bereft of tears The tears have pooled at our feet  Drowning us in our sorrows We lay low waiting, For the better tommorow delaying

Happy new year The white lion celebrates you
